TODD A. IRWIN | work | statement & cv | email | links
Todd A. Irwin is a Chicago-based artist and printmaker with a background in commercial screen printing; an experience which informs both formal and conceptual aspects of his work. He combines collected satellite imagery with an expressive use of color and an interest in abstraction to suggest a singularity between humanity their constructed environments. These 'maps' represent growth, opportunity, and also represent the stages upon which we play out our lives. This imagery gives us patterns to decode about privacy, use of technology, and hints at the idea of prevalent voyeurism. Todd's work has been exhibited at The Colonie, Prak-sys Gallery, Milwaukee Ave. Arts Festival, and Albany Park Art Walk. View CV
